Acerca de Susana Weisleder
Susana is the Principal Architect and Owner of the Miami based private firm Merenfeld Weisleder Architecture. Born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela, she continually sought to become a master at her craft through her education, obtaining degrees from the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology and Stanford University, followed by a career that spans more than 35 years.
Her experience ranges from private residences, residential and commercial high rise buildings, to public hospitals, office buildings, community centers and houses of worships in the US, Venezuela, Costa Rica and Panama.
In the past 15 years, Susana has participated in several international contests, winning the contracts for the main Synagogue/Community Center in San Jose, Costa Rica – currently constructed and fully functional – and for the University School (Colegio Universitario) in Caracas, Venezuela. As a specialist in Architecture and Interior Design, Susana’s approach is holistic – paying attention to the functionality (form follows function) of every detail. Whether it’s the positioning of a structure that doubles as support and a visual centerpiece, or the placement of a panel that will affect the way sound travels. Everything is designed with a purpose; a perfect marriage of conceptual and practical.
Susana has working licenses in, Israel, Costa Rica, Venezuela and the USA, granted through NCARB-BEFA Broadly Experienced Foreing Architect.
